For the First Time This Halloween, Brave Souls Can Stay in the Haunted Houses of Colonial Williamsburg

Colonial Williamsburg is amping up the fright factor by allowing visitors stay in their Haunted Colonial Houses for the first time.

While many of the district’s Colonial Houses have always been open for accommodations, this is the first year they’re theming stays for Halloween, and, exposing the haunted history of each house.

These historic houses offer authentic period reproductions, like canopy beds and crackling fires in the hearths. Those who’ve stayed in the houses before have reported paranormal activity like moving furniture, ghostly figures, and untraceable sounds…
