Before leaving for the long Thanksgiving weekend and after eating fistfuls of gluten-free sweets, 4-year-old Ty Dorion slung his jacket over his shoulders and walked over to the adults.
He was ready to leave after an hour spent carousing around a Faison Center classroom, singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” into a toy microphone and smiling with friends and his little brother.
“Bye, everybody!” he shouted again and again, waving two tiny hands that hold his mother’s heart.
